This forgettable efort from pianist Pat Coil is an example of lightweight "feelgood jazz." Virtually all of the upbeat themes sound designed for maximum airplay with no overly intense or exciting moments included so as not to offend anyone. Saxophonist Tom Scott tries to raise the heat in a few spots but he does not get enough space to increase the temperature of the lukewarm grooves. Taken one song at a time, this instrumental pop music is pleasant enough, but by the fifth piece even the most hyper individual will find it difficult to suppress a yawn.
